Not all truck issues require a visit to a service department. Some problems can be solved with a little ingenuity. Below we cover our favorite do-it-yourself projects for fixing your truck.

To Fix Paintwork Scratches

Some scratches are minor enough that they are merely a cosmetic issue. You don't want to pay a steep fee to get them professionally repaired, but you also don't want to be stuck with the eyesore.

That's where nail polish comes in handy.

It won't be as sturdy as your truck's paint, but it can get the job done. With so many shades of nail polish on the market, you'll be able to find something that's a close color match.

To Fix Dents

Similar to minor scratches, minor dents can be tackled at home. All you need is a bathroom plunger.

Simply wet the edges of the plunger, which will help create a tight seal. Then, place it over the dent and pull the panel back to its original shape.
