Symptoms of a Bad Suspension
Rough Ride
One of the most obvious symptoms of a faulty suspension is a rough ride. A rough ride can be caused by many things, but the most common factor is definitely worn-out shock absorbers. Over time, your shock absorbers may start to leak. Without fluid, your shocks will struggle to control the rebound movement of your truck and may not absorb road impacts as well as they once did. To fix this, you need to either get your shock absorbers repaired or replace them entirely. Other common causes of a rough ride include worn-out bushings and blown bearings.
Squatting and Sagging
Is your truck squatting and sagging under a heavy load? If so, your air suspension may not be working properly. Your airbags are designed to elevate a certain amount of weight, but if they start to struggle to do so, they may not be fully inflated. This problem is generally caused by a malfunctioning air compressor or leaking airlines. If your trailer is squatting or sagging, be sure to schedule an appointment for service.
